You can be an alpha male

Version 1.0, October 2002

It is my firm conviction that human society, as it relates to sexuality, is much more mammalian in character than commonly, and publicly, admitted.

A mammalian characteristic are groups and societies in which dominant males appropriate a large, disproportionate number of females.

Among many mammalian species, the dominant male, or alpha male, is the only one supposed to breed and have sexual intercourse. Lower-ranking males can occasionally sneak in and themselves gain access to females. But it's a forbidden act, and will likely be punished severely by the dominant male, if it comes to his attention. However, because even the most advanced species outside homo sapiens have no language or equivalent means to confer information, dominant males, as other members of any species, only know what they see themselves.

Human society isn't as extreme in structure as the societies of some species, in which only alpha males breed. But there is a typical tendency for alpha males to seek out as many sexual partners as possible, and genuine alpha males typically succeed to appropriate a much larger share of females than would be their "fair" allocation.

Human males who appropriate a disproportionate share of the females are nowadays not interested in making each of their conquests a permanent wife. The tendency is for a male to use a female a number of times, and then to discard her.

Therefore, in order to assess the degree of polygamous behavior of a certain man, we ought not to look at by how many females he is or has been bound into a permanent relationship at any given time, but solely at the number of different sexual partners he has ever had without getting married to.

For such a statistic, a one-night stand counts more than a lifelong exclusive relationship. It counts more because actually, in many human societies, it is easier to find a wife than a one-night stand (in all of the Middle East), and a man who marries is conceding much more than the one given permission for a single use.

A man who concedes to the conditions brought about by a marriage typically signs over to his wife much of his wealth and financial independence. Because this kind of behavior does require irrationality, there is, under ordinary circumstances, a high degree of reluctance on the part of men to be available for marriage. A marriage is a victory for the female partner, rather than a male conquest.

An alpha male, therefore, is defined as a man who gains access, or copulation rights, with as many women as possible, without allowing a woman the victory of becoming a man's wife.

Let's assume we have a group of 1000 men and 1000 women. Let's further assume that in this group, women have an average of 10 sexual partners during their life span. Of these, an average of 1.5 sexual relationships are with men who are their husbands. This then leaves an overall of 8500 sexual pairings to be counted in establishing our statistics.

My hypothesis is that some 50 men account for more than 5000 of these 8500 pairings.

Some men definitely are more popular with women than others. They are not just a bit more popular.

I assume that in any given society, some 80 percent of the women strive for just 5 percent of the men. But these 5 percent are chronically difficult to bind into permanent relationships, which is why most women, while being occasionally available to alpha males, also settle into permanent relationships with beta (just average and willing to marry) or gamma (below average, but willing to marry) specimens of the species.

The agenda of this web site is to turn subscribers into alpha males, even though, under present circumstances, they qualify only for a beta or gamma status. In more practical language, the aim of this site is to support subscribers in achieving a lifestyle that is characterized by a multitude of sexual partners, without being bound into marriages.

To achieve this goal, a temporary or permanent relocation (first choice: Southeast Asia) will be recommended where the prospects of achieving alpha status for a Western man are much better than in rich Western societies.

Apart from this standard recommendation, solutions will have to be highly personalized. Therefore, I depart from the usual pattern of my subscriber sites, which would be to give access to a selection of subscriber articles that provide advanced practical information.

Instead, subscribers to LifestyleAdvice.com are entitled to individual consultation on matters of relocating to Southeast Asia with the clear purpose of achieving a high frequency of satisfying sexual encounters.

I assume that everybody considering a relocation to Southeast Asia already has some ideas and particular expectations. Subscribers are invited to submit questions, which I will then answer.

Submitted questions and related answers are used anonymously in an archived forum to provide insight to subsequent subscribers.

My qualification: I am a European man and author who has been a permanent resident or constant visitor in all Southeast Asian countries except Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Brunei, and Timor. I have written extensive travel guides on Thailand and the Philippines, and shorter ones on most of the other countries, and I have run businesses in Thailand, the Philippines, and Cambodia. My advice therefore not only covers sexual relationships but also the formalities of settling in these countries, as well as aspects of earning a living.

Foreskin restoration

Foreskin restoration is the process of expanding the residual skin on the penis, via surgical or non-surgical methods, to create the appearance of a natural foreskin (prepuce) covering the glans penis. Foreskin restoration techniques are most commonly undertaken by men who have been circumcised or who have sustained an injury, but are also used by uncircumcised men who desire a longer foreskin and by men who have phimosis.

Men attempt foreskin restoration for many reasons. These may range from simply wanting their foreskin back, to restoring a natural appearance, desire for improved sensitivity of the glans or better sexual stimulation, and regaining a sense of wholeness. Some men cite a desire to regain a sense of control over their sexual organs and regaining lost self esteem. Foreskin restoration may also be seen as a form of body modification for those interested.

Surgical methods of foreskin restoration, sometimes known as foreskin reconstruction, usually involve a method of grafting skin onto the distal portion of the penile shaft. The grafted skin is typically taken from the scrotum, which contains the same smooth muscle (known as dartos fascia) as does the skin of the penis. One method involves a four stage procedure in which the penile shaft is buried in the scrotum for a period of time.[6] Such techniques are costly, and have the potential to produce unsatisfactory results or serious complications related to the skin graft.

British Columbian resident Paul Tinari, who was forcibly circumcised at the age of nine, has spoken with news media about his experience. Following a lawsuit Tinari's surgical foreskin restoration was covered by the British Columbia Ministry of Health. The plastic surgeon who performed the restoration was the first in Canada to have done such an operation, and used a technique similar to that described above

Nonsurgical foreskin restoration, accomplished through tissue expansion, is the more commonly used method of foreskin restoration. Both the skin of the penile shaft and the mucosal inner lining of the foreskin, if any remains after circumcision, may be expanded.

The skin is pulled forward over the glans, and tension is applied manually, by using weights, or by using elastic straps. In the second two cases a device must be attached to the skin; surgical tape is often used. An example of a device using elastic straps is the T-Tape method, which was developed in the 1990s with the idea of enabling restoration to take place more rapidly. Many specialized foreskin restoration devices that grip the skin with or without tape are also commercially available. Tension from these devices may be applied by weights or elastic straps, by pushing the skin forward on the penis, or by a combination of these methods.

The amount of tension produced by any method must be adjusted to avoid causing injury, pain or discomfort, and may be seen as a limiting factor in foreskin restoration. There is a risk of damaging tissues from the use of excessive tension or applying tension for too long. Websites about foreskin restoration vary in their recommendations, from suggesting a regimen of moderate amounts of tension applied for several hours a day[9], to recommending periods of higher tension applied for only a few minutes per day.

Sexual opportunities in Asia

Version 1.0, July 2007

Like in much of the rest of the world, so in Asia, too, there has been, over the past three decades, a clear decline in both the quality and the quantity of sexual opportunities for men.

The Philippines were a very attractve sexual destination in the 1970s and early 1980s with a sexually active youth and a sexual legal framework that was not as biased against men as it is now. The Philippines were then probably the first country in Asia were the situation was then tightened rather quickly, with the "moral revolution" that followed the overthrow of President Marcos and the installation of President Cory Aquino.

Thailand also became much more moral over the past three decades. But in Thailand, it was not only, and not so much, the political climate that changed. Thailand, over the past three decades, always was primarily a prostitution destination. While prostitution never was the kind of sex I was interested in, I have to admit that in the1970s and 1980s, many prostitutes in Thailand, for example Pattaya, were strikingly beautiful. But now when I visit Pattaya, which I rarely do, my impression is that it's still the same girls around as in the 1970s and 1980s, only that they are no longer beautiful.

In Indonesia, change occurred later. Not only was Suharto capable of hanging on much longer than Marcos. A sexual climate that was comparable to that of the Philippines in the early 1980s persisted in Indonesia until the end of the 1990s. And the anti-sexual changes after the overthrow of Suharto were comparable to the changes in the Philippines after the overthrow of Marcos.

Among these changes were, in both countries, and also, more gradually in Thailand:

1. Extended legislation to protect women, such as putting into effect a higher age of consent.

2. Outlandishly strict punishment for sexual misdeeds. Torturing and killing a male gets less than half the punishment of sexual intercourse with a female which later is construed as rape or statutory rape.

3. A media which is inclined to always find fault with men, especially if they are foreigners.

But the news is not all bleak. China, in particularly, is a country that is getting better sexually. However, China is huge, and the differences between regions, as far as sexual opportunities (and the beauty of women) are concerned, are substantial.

Is the north better or the south? Will you fare better in big cities where women are more modern, or in the countryside, where they are more traditional?

Is it better to chat up girls at universities or in pubs? Or how about Internet dating?

Or, in spite of the negative development in the Philippines, Thailand, and Indonesia, are these countries still the better option? Or how about the countries so far not mentioned in this article: Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar?

The people who maintain this site provide unique lifestyle advice: where to go in Asia for optimal relationships of sex and love.

And mind you: we are not talking prostitutes. Actually, men who like to have sex with prostitutes don't need much info... just a few hints where to find them and what they cost. Those who need that kind of hints for their low-quality sexual stints can check the World Sex Guide and other banality boards of the same kind.

What we deal with, on the other hand, is supreme sex in love relationships. You can read about it in the member articles, but that is not all. As a member you are also entitled to qualified email advice. Let us know what you are looking for in your life in Asia, and we will tell you were you have the best chance to succeed.

Medical grafting

In medicine, grafting is a surgical procedure to transplant tissue without a blood supply. The implanted tissue must obtain a blood supply from the new vascular bed or otherwise die.

The term is most commonly applied to skin grafting, however many tissues can be grafted: skin, bone, nerves, tendons, and cornea are the tissue commonly grafted today.

Skin grafting is often used to treat skin loss due to a wound, burn, infection, or surgery. In the case of damaged skin, it is removed, and new skin is grafted in its place. Skin grafting can reduce the course of treatment and hospitalization needed, and can also improve function and appearance.

Bone grafting is used in dental implants, as well as other instances. The bone may be autologous, typically harvested from the iliac crest of the pelvis, or banked bone.

Lobelia chinensis

Flowering plant comprising 360–400 species, with a subcosmopolitan distribution primarily in tropical to warm temperate regions of the world, a few species extending into cooler temperate regions.[1] English names include Lobelia, Asthma Weed, Indian Tobacco, Pukeweed, and Vomitwort.

Some botanists place the genus and its relatives in the separate family Lobeliaceae, others as a subfamily Lobelioideae within the Campanulaceae. The Angiosperm Phylogeny Group did not make a firm decision in this, listing the genus under both families.

Lobelia is probably the base form from which many other lobelioid genera are derived; it is therefore highly paraphyletic and not a good genus. For example, the Hawaiian species are part of a group including other genera that appear very different (see Hawaiian lobelioids). However, the group has not yet been studied adequately to rearrange the classification.

Lobelia species are used as food plants by the larvae of some Lepidoptera species including Setaceous Hebrew Character.

The genus is named after the Belgian botanist Matthias de Lobel (1538-1616).

Several species are cultivated as ornamental plants in gardens. These include Lobelia cardinalis (Cardinal Flower or Indian Pink), Lobelia siphilitica (Blue Lobelia), Lobelia fulgens and Lobelia erinus, as well as some hybrids.

Lobelia erinus, a South African annual plant is often grown in window boxes and hanging baskets. Many varieties have been cultivated with a wide variety of colours.

In the Victorian language of flowers, the lobelia symbolizes malevolence and ill will.
